Patterson Dental is hiring...but why?

I'm going to be interviewing with Patterson Dental and I was wondering what anyone could tell me about this company? I don't want to be the last hired first fired?

Could this be an end of year right off situation?

Patterson is a dificult company to understand in my opinion. Their business model reminds me of the way Sears Roebuck use to do business. Patterson charges considerably more for products than their competitiors and seem to glote that it is somewhat fashionable to think you are getting more because you are paying more. Individual reps calling on offices seems to be an outdated, inefficient , way of doing business. Patterson seems to install an attitude in their customers that only they can provide the high end products and services to enable a practice to acheive the ultimate status quo. Fortunately, for Patterson, there must be enough strong ego dentists that buy into this success mentality!
