I have been coming to this website for a few months now and I have not seen any posts or new blogs. Is anyone else interested in sharing knowledge? I have been practicing for 14 years and would love to talk to someone about new trends and changes to the industry.I would love to get some ideas on office management and fee structure. Anyone out their who has any backround or ideas.I am also considering taking an implant course to place my own implants. I saw that survey on the front page and it seems that alot of you guys are against GP's placing implants. Well why not??

GP's placing implants is absurd. What will be next? There shouldn't even be any courses for placing implants for anyone other than a Oral Surgeon or Periodontist. What do you think?

It seems to me that it is only natural that GP's should place implants. Surgeons and Periodontists have been restoring implant cases for years. They tell the patient that they can save money by having all the owrk done by them and cut the GP out of the picture. Furthermore the price to place a single implant is so out of hand that how can a patient afford the implant and the restoration? It easier to sell a case to a patinet with all the work done by myself than adding the too-high cost of the periodontist-surgeon.

You'll find more GP's these days doing more to add to their bottom line. I would suspect implants won't be where it will end.
