Has anyone else been affected by the economy like me

I am at less than half my usual October-November revenue.  My book is empty some days. My office is Boston and it is really scary.

Me to and I am located in Seattle. I have been reconsidering taking on insurance patients. That is something I swore I would never do but I don’t feel I have a choice.

Same here in Florida.  I advertise in the community paper and on the radio.  I usually am booked three months in advance.  I don’t have empty days but my book is very light now and I have been getting allot of cancellations.  More than anything I notice the money has not been coming in.

People, people stop with the whining. The economy is down a bit. It will rebound. I have not been slow for two decades. I find the dentists who complain about being slow are always slow. Maybe the problem is how you run your practice. Do you do regular telephone checkups, do you follow up a visit with a car or call? How does your office staff interact with the patients? What does your staff look like? Do they have nice teeth? Who would go to dentists who have crooked brown teethed assistants? Does your staff inform the patients about other treatments available by you while they wait in the waiting room? Do you have literature about your services and offers available in the waiting room? Have any of you taken a business course? Remember this is a business. It is your job to manage the office, the staff, the patients and yourself toastiest your patients and earn a good living. You can’t just sit back and wait for the patient to come to you.
